Why do I need GhostLy?

Most AI tools live in a browser tab. You copy text, switch apps, and lose your place. GhostLy sits on top of your work and answers based on what's actually in front of you.

Is my screen data private?

Yes. GhostLy processes what it reads on your Mac before anything is sent to AI. Screen data is not stored on our servers. When you ask a question, your prompt goes directly to the AI provider you choose (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini) over encrypted connections.

Does GhostLy hide personal information?

Yes. Secure Processing is on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings. This beta feature redacts sensitive details on your Mac before anything is sent to AI. That includes personal info like emails, phone numbers, and payment details, plus common patterns like API keys and secrets in environment files. It's not perfect yet, so always double-check what you're sharing.

GhostLy works with Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, and Google Gemini. Connect your own accounts and pay the provider directly for usage.

What does GhostLy use as context?

GhostLy reads your active screen and clipboard. When you're working with lots of text, it pulls the words. When you're looking at a design or UI, it captures what you see. Turn screen reading off in Settings anytime you just want a simple chat.

Copying and pasting often sends more context than you need. GhostLy can trim and structure screen context before it reaches your provider, especially in text mode with token optimization turned on. Visual mode may still send a screen capture when that's the best way to answer your question. What you spend depends on your settings and the task.

For now, yes. GhostLy is built for macOS. Windows is in development. Join the waitlist on our homepage and we'll email you when it's ready. Linux is on the roadmap, but we don't have a date to share yet.
